It all began with a dream to redefine what a "fun night out" could be. Sing and Sway was born from the shared passion of two friends, Samantha Negraval and Caitlin Mahon, who had a vision of creating safe, fun experiences for people who want to let loose and express themselves through song and dance.


Sam, a talented musician, and Cait, a skilled dancer, set out on this adventure with the support of friends and family. Cait kick-started the journey by hosting "Brews and Latin Dance Moves" events at local New Jersey breweries. Sam, with her keen eye for capturing moments, was there to document the joy, energy, and connection that filled the room.

John Carroll

Upon joining the team the same year, John Carroll seamlessly integrated his valuable skills by bringing a wealth of graphic design expertise. His contributions extend beyond his creative talents, as John serves as equipment manager and a karaoke/dance assistant.

While the dance floor brought excitement, it was an impromptu karaoke set-up at Cait’s family gatherings that sparked the vision for Sing and Sway at the Jersey Shore. Together, they realized that they could take the party to the next level through a mobile karaoke service that would bring professional-grade equipment and wireless microphones to the local community for any occasion. In 2023, numerous professional transitions moved Cait and Sam to reorganize Sing and Sway under Cait’s ownership to continue growing more offerings in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, NJ and beyond. Morgan Barth joined the team in 2023, bringing her technical know-how, vocal talents and karaoke assistant skills to the mix.
